Terms of Service
Effective date: 28 October 2026 · Last updated: 28 October 2026
These terms govern your use of the Kavvo website and the Kavvo application. By using either, you agree to them. They are written to be read — short, plain, and without traps.
1. What Kavvo is
Kavvo is an AI agent platform: software that lets you converse with AI models you connect via your own API keys, with features including chat, voice, web browsing by the agent, long-term memory, self-created skills, automations, and a privacy guardian. The Kavvo website provides information, downloads, a blog, optional accounts, and links to a hosted preview instance.
2. The app is open source
The Kavvo application is free and open-source software licensed under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, and redistribute it under that license's terms, which are included with the software. These Terms of Service govern the website, the preview instance, and any hosted services we operate; they do not restrict your MIT rights in the application code itself.
3. Your API keys, your provider relationship
- Kavvo is bring-your-own-key. You are responsible for your provider accounts, keys, and the bills they generate.
- Your use of any model provider through Kavvo is also governed by that provider's own terms and policies.
- Keep your keys secret. Kavvo stores them in your installation; anyone with access to your installation or keys can spend against your provider account.
4. Accounts
Website accounts are optional and currently operate in a demo mode stored in your browser (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password confidential. The hosted preview instance is provided for evaluation; we may reset, limit, or discontinue it at any time, and it should not be relied on for irreplaceable work.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Kavvo or this website to:
- break the law, infringe others' rights, or facilitate wrongdoing;
- send spam, run scams, or impersonate others deceptively;
- attack, overload, probe without authorisation, or disrupt the website, the preview instance, or third-party services the agent interacts with;
- circumvent rate limits, access controls, or paywalls of third-party services;
- upload or generate content whose creation or distribution is illegal.
You are responsible for what you ask the agent to do and for reviewing its outputs and actions before relying on them — especially anything sent, published, purchased, or deleted.
6. Your content
What you create with Kavvo — prompts, documents, and outputs in your installation — is yours. We claim no ownership of it. Because the app runs under your control with your provider keys, content in your installation never passes through us.
7. No warranty
Kavvo, this website, and the preview instance are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI outputs can be wrong, incomplete, or fabricated; verify anything that matters. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or provider charges, arising from your use of Kavvo, the website, or the preview instance — including damages caused by actions the agent took at your direction. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question in the twelve months before the claim (which, for the free software and website, is zero).
9. Third-party services
Kavvo connects to model providers and websites at your direction. Those services are independent of us; their availability, accuracy, and terms are theirs alone, and we are not responsible for them.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as Kavvo evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date; continuing to use the website or preview after a change means you accept the updated terms. The MIT License covering the application code does not change retroactively for copies already distributed.
